‘‘My name is Destiny Dubois, I am 24 years old and I was born in Regina, Saskatchewan. I am from Pasqua First Nation and spent a lot of my time living on reserve as well as off reserve. I learned about the Pre-Inca Multimedia Storytelling Crash Course through my sister who knows I love to write.
I just recently finished a part-time program at SaskPolytech as a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) and have been working full time as a CCA in long-term care for 3 years. Alongside being a CCA, I am a part of the File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council, Lands, Resources, Environment, and Stewardship, with the Youth Advisory Council. On the council we give our youth advising to the 11 member nations of FHQTC regarding the environment and climate change impacts. When I am not busy I enjoy reading, creating art and being outside!’’
